Metalwerx at Lincoln Studios

I work in silver, brass and found objects to create one-of-a-kind sculptural pieces. Small scale jewelry is created at my bench at Metalwerx School and Studio in Waltham, MA and my in-home studio in Needham, MA. Large found-metal welded sculptures come to life in my Firehouse Studio in Antrim, New Hampshire. I have had the good fortune of being taught by various master metal artists at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Snow Farm-New England Craft, Mass College of Art and Design, Cambridge Center for Adult Education, DeCordova and Metalwerx. I am inspired by the unusual use of materials to create works of art that encourage the viewer or wearer to create a story that’s meaningful to them, and often integrate small cast human figures into my work (“Tiny Tales”) to achieve this goal. I am a scavenger of rusty metal, a vivid dreamer, and am known to juxtapose weirdly divergent concepts, many of which find their way into my creations. When I am not at my bench or my welding torch, I dabble in clinical neuropsychology, and create many characters in my recording studio–as a voice actor.
