Contribute to the cultural life of Waltham – sponsor the 2021 Waltham Open Studios.
Since 1976, Waltham Mills Open Studios opens its doors once a year to “visit art where it’s made.” Throughout the year, these artists lead arts programs for children, adults and seniors, showing up at events like Waltham Riverfest and Waltham Day. In 2020, with the financial support of our sponsors, we created a weekend of demonstrations, panel discussions and artist snapshots. For the first time, we could include artists who live/work outside of Waltham Mills, Lincoln Studios and Metalwerx.
The 45th Open Studios in 2021 evolves from that experience. Many artists look forward to seeing people in person, but realize there are many ways to connect. Planned this year is an Art Window Walk opening in September on Moody Street, a virtual art fair and Open Studios, adapted to create social distance. Website visitors can learn more about the artists and soon, in Spanish, to reflect the multi-cultural nature of Waltham. We encourage a range of ways to “Visit art where it’s made.”
We hope you’ll join us for 2021 Waltham Open Studios. Contact Alanna Nelson, Open Studios coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
