Jerry Schultz/E.S.H. Metal Arts

Greetings! I am so pleased to be able to share my work with you at the first Virtual Waltham Open Studios. When I’m not making jewelry and sculptures, I’m a Clinical Neuropsychologist, so I know how much exposure to the arts can soothe a troubled soul. How wonderful it is that we can all immerse ourselves–both as makers and lovers of beauty–in this virtual space, filled with the work of so many gifted and creative people. As a MetalWerx studiomate, I am honored to be a part of this talented community, and so very pleased that you’re here as well.

If you have questions about any of my pieces, please contact me via email at the link on this site. I also invite you to follow me on Instagram, where you’ll be able to see many of the found-object welded sculptures that live among the trees and gardens at my lakeside Fire House Studio in Antrim, NH.

Whether I’m making rings, or necklaces, or larger-than-life humanoid sculptures, I am mesmerized by the process, and marvel at the product. I look at a pile of metal and it calls out to me, urging me to put this here, and that there—and lo and behold, something new (and often unexpected) emerges from the fire and smoke. It’s a magical process, this alchemy for a modern age.

I invite you to look around, and enjoy! I’d love to hear from you.
