Kelley Harwood

Working from direct observation and photographic record, I’m interested in seeing what happens when you combine the weight of perceived shadows and gravity with the weightlessness of light and figures who are no longer here.

I will miss the in-person aspect of Open Studios this year!  For the past ten years, I’ve opened my studio and enjoyed the weekend’s sights and sounds.

I look forward to reconnecting with everyone next year.

Kelley completed her MFA in Painting from Boston University in 2020.  She holds an MA from BU in Classical Studies, a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and a BA from Hamilton College.  Her work is currently on view at Ortega y Gasset Projects in Brooklyn.  She has shown her work at Room 83 Spring in Watertown, The Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation in Waltham, and Concord Art Center in Concord where her painting was part of Sight Specific: A Selection of American Perceptual Paintings.  Curated by George Nick.
