Kristin G. Griffin, Kristin Griffin Designs

I have been working mostly in argentium silver and sterling silver with touches of gold.  My goal for 2020 was to add some color and dimension to my work using stones.  However, in March Massachusetts issued its stay at home order and Metalwerx closed the studio. I was was left with very few options since I did not have a very extensive home studio.  Thankfully, Metalwerx came to the rescue with some great virtual workshops and I was able to learn new skills that are now highlighted in my work.   I have added color to my work using tinted epoxy resin, enamel and polymer clay.  I have also added new dimension to my work by piercing metal or adding small stone beads.  While it took a little time to get back to creating after the initial stay at home order, the silver lining to the pandemic for me was a chance to try new things and take my work in a new direction.
