ARTIST BIO
Through dynamic, layered environments inspired by ancient cities filled with twisting streets and magical passageways, Carolyn Mackin’s artwork seeks to honor her dynamic connection with the spiritual realm, while wholeheartedly embracing the bittersweet adventure of being human. For Carolyn, the creative process mirrors that of an open-minded traveler exploring a new place—embracing spontaneity and savoring those magical moments of serendipity. Her process driven-approach celebrates the gifts of openness and vulnerability, as well as the healing potential of expressing and processing through a physical dance with painting materials.
Because Carolyn has a passion for home décor, she loves creating paintings that look amazing within the spaces they will ultimately reside. She has a deep understanding and reverence for how the right artwork can transform a space both visually and energetically. Carolyn truly enjoys getting to know her clients (friends) and relishes the personal meanings and stories her clients find in her work. A daily yoga and meditation practice help her to stay positive, healthy and focused on what is important. She lives in Wellesley, just outside of Boston, with her husband and two boys, and works from her studio in Waltham.
