I use a series of ovals as mark making to create the delicate patterns and flow in these paintings. This medium is oil on prepared panel.

In some of the paintings, the building up of hues or the dividing of the colors holds the significance of the attempt of capturing the energy that binds humanity to nature. In others, the overlapping, glazing, the juxtaposing gradients and soft hues carried by the repetition of the marks tries to capture emotions or thoughts that cannot be expressed with images or words.

I’m trying to mine non-verbal forms of communication through abstraction, by repeating a personal constellation of motifs in continuous efforts at interpretation of worlds we cannot see, emotions that we cannot access, or thoughts that we cannot express.

In addition to painting, I work with my partner 023and co-creator, Michael Moss: we have made over 25 temporary public art installations across New England and beyond. Currently, our installation, Approach, is on view in NYC until 2030.
