I titled a recent painting:
"There'll be a change in the weather;
And a change in the sea,
From now on there'll be a change in me;"
(Songwriters: Billy Higgins/Edwards/W Overstreet Benton
"There'll Be Some Changes Made")
My paintings involve a lot of changes: pouring, dragging, rolling, scraping, more pouring, more scraping, some normal painting (brushes, palette knives), and more pouring and scraping.
Changes in the weather
Changes in the world
Changes in me
l asked Chat GTP to write a poem about my work; it ends with:
"And in that pause
between seen and seen-again,
his paint breathes
what language never could."
Al can write pretty well, but it can't paint........yet
