My paintings are attempts to capture the feeling of places that interest me - especially ocean waters at the edge of the land. I'm both a trditionalist and an abstractionist using texture and color and the freshness of paint to express the fleeting light of sun on the water the scrubbing of wind and currents and the diffuse reflections of an evolving architecture of the bottom below. My most recent series have been focused on Duxbury Harbor on the South Shore and Money Island off the Connecticut coast.
