Lisa Boemer is a visual artist who explores line, movement, connection, and discovery through painting, drawing, reclaimed and handmade materials, and installation. Curiosity and close observation are at the heart of her practice—whether painting outdoors, working from memory, or following a line off the surface and into space.

Lisa works with oil and cold wax, ink, reclaimed NOAA nautical charts, handmade paper, hand-twisted paper rope, string, and unexpected tools—including the tread of an old dress boot. She layers, scrapes, twists, knots, suspends, and experiments, allowing the materials and process to lead somewhere she may not have planned.

Her work has been exhibited at the Fitchburg Art Museum and Copley Society of Art. Recent recognition includes Second Place in the BoldBrush Abstract Competition and selection for the Fitchburg Art Museum's 90th Regional Exhibition of Art & Craft.

Based at Lincoln Studios in Waltham, Lisa invites visitors to see finished work alongside current explorations and discover how an idea can move from observation to possibility.
