As an artist I like to experiment with a variety of media. I work primarily on paper and canvas that I paint, collage, print, stamp, draw on and otherwise mark. My process is spontaneous, layered, and playful, one mark leading to the next. I work intuitively until the painting or drawing itself determines the next move.

Life experiences often influence my work (my Catholic girlhood, stories from my father’s POW experience, my love of water, mystery and color and more recently plants and flowers). Emotions, memories, relationships, words, colors and images combine to communicate meaning and experience. My layered and intuitive approach helps in piecing together and reclaiming the past and creating a visual present.
