Nina Bellucci is a mixed-media and installation artist who draws inspiration from nature and explores the practice of mindfulness as a means for both artist and audience to slow down and to fully engage with the world around.

 

Born and raised in sunny Florida, Bellucci received her BFA from the University of South Florida (2006). She received an MFA in painting from Boston University in 2009, soon after moving to Boston and falling in love with the city. Recent solo exhibitions include Tender Art Space, Concord, MA; Doorway_a_gallery, Waltham, MA; Shelter In Place Gallery, Boston; and Musa Collective, Boston. Select group exhibitions include Piano Craft Gallery, Boston; Storefront Art Projects, Watertown, MA; The Yard: Williamsburg, NY; LaiSun Keane, Boston; Collar Works, NY; and Slag Gallery, NY. Bellucci has received numerous awards and nominations, including a Joan Mitchell Fellowship (nomination, 2022), a Massachusetts Cultural Council Artist Grant in painting (2018), and an artist residency at Room83Spring in Watertown, MA (2017). Recent representation includes Gallery263 in Cambridge, MA as a Small Works Project artist (2023-’24) and Uprise Art, based in NYC (2017-present). Bellucci maintains a studio in Waltham, MA and lives in Newton, MA with her family.
