My work has always been inspired by nature, from large painted explorations of forests and trees to smaller linoleum cut prints of the fauna that dwells within. Lately I’ve been depicting creatures who are in danger of disappearing. I repurpose steeped teabags as printing surfaces to convey the fragile, ephemeral quality of these insects and birds.” Andrea Tishman is a painter and printmaker. She has recent recently exhibited her work at the Danforth Museum in Framingham, Bromfield Gallery in Boston, and Gallery Twist in Lexington.
