My artwork frequently begins with an experience of the natural world, often in the woods, or near the ocean. It is my hope that I can bring the air and light I find there back into my studio and then into my paintings and monotypes. Printmaking has allowed me the freedom to layer colors, ideas, and moods, obscuring and revealing in an evolving process.
